GlamourGals is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit whose local mission is to foster intergenerational relationships between teen girls and elderly women living in senior homes through monthly facials and makeovers. GlamourGals national mission is to create the structure and provide the resources that encourage compassionate teen leadership through local intergenerational programming. Our vision is to alleviate elder loneliness by fostering a movement of comassionate female leaders. GlamourGals volunteers grow to be collaborative and community-oriented in their personal and public decision making.

GlamourGals was founded in 2000 by Rachel Doyle as a way to honor the memory of her grandmother. Since her first GG chapter in Commack, NY, GlamourGals chapters have expanded to nearly 50 chapters across the nation and even in Scotland and Canada.

GlamourGals volunteers have really made a name for themselves and their mission to alleviate elder loneliness and have been featured in "The New York Times," CosmoGIRL! Magazine, The Oprah Winfrew Show, and on CNN's "Young People Who Rock."
